Our Community Coordinator

Susan Brace

I'm delighted to be the Cracked Slipper Company Community

Coordinator. I have spent the last 26 years working with charities in

Herefordshire, from the National Trust and British Red Cross to my current project, Herefordshire Young Carers Club - so I may be a familiar face to many people! The Cracked Slipper Company does amazing work with

people of all ages but with a particular focus on younger members of the community who might not otherwise be able to access all the opportunities and benefits that drama, and being part of a group can bring.

Youth Engagement Officer

Harry

Hi, my name is Harry. I'm the new Youth Engagement Officer for the

Cracked Slipper Company.I'll be working closely with schools and groups around Herefordshire to see how we can help them.

I am also the assistant for Drama for Change. If you have any questions

about the drama groups that we offer or want to arrange a visit for us to come to schools, support groups and other communities in Herefordshire, Email harrycoleman.thecrackedslipper@gmail.com

As someone who works with disadvantaged young people, I know how important it is for them to be part of a supportive community and to have the same life chances and experiences as their peers who don't face similar challenges.

When I saw there was an opportunity to join the team and help connect more people in our community, I was keen to get involved. Outside of work, I spend my time with my family in the heart of the Herefordshire countryside. Most days I can be found being dragged across muddy fields by Badger, my tireless Border Collie, or being bitten by my spectacularly ungrateful cat, Fabs. There's nothing I like more than getting creative, so I usually have some sort of project on the go, and now I have grandchildren I have a great excuse to be covered in face paint and glitter on my days off.

Tracey

I’m a married Mum of 3 grown up children, one of who really benefited from drama classes when she was younger. It’s lovely for me now to be giving back in my role as assistant and to see the benefits other youngsters can gain from it.

In my other job I predominantly support older people and their families as a home help. Both roles are varied and enjoyable.

Jemima

Hi I am Jemima and I am the Drama leader working with neurodivergent young people aged between 16-25 years at Centre stage.

Sarah

Sarah Watkins started in the charity sector, working with children and young people facing disadvantage. She retrained as a primary school teacher and co-ordinated English (including drama) for a federation of ten schools. Sarah was then made Head of School, running her old primary school! Currently, Sarah works in the education department at The University of Worcester as well as running her own outdoor company, Dandy Lions. Sarah is the author of two books for teachers, published by Routledge Education.

Mhia

Mhia has been active in drama since the age of seven, and she thrives on being able to share her enthusiasm with people of all ages and abilities. When she isn't teaching drama skills with the Centre Stage and Little Slippers groups, Mhia may be found choreographing and performing on stage, hoping to make her family, particularly her late mother, as proud as ever. She began acting with the Hereford Amateur Pantomime Society, where she has been for the past nine years and has thoroughly enjoyed herself. She'd like to thank everyone who has helped her become the performer and mentor she is today, and she's excited to see where this takes her in the future.
